The markets
Carrboro Farmers' MarketOne of the region's best-known markets, where everything is grown or made within 50 miles by the farmers and artisans themselves: produce, pasture-raised meats, eggs, cheese, bread, pastries, pottery, and more, at Carrboro Town Commons.Downtown Mebane Farmers MarketA city-run market in downtown Mebane beside the Downtown Pocket Park, with produce, meats, cheese, mushrooms, honey, flowers, and handmade goods from area farms and makers, plus makers markets and a free kids' produce club.Elon Farmers MarketA producer-centered market in the heart of Elon, going since 2007: local produce, eggs, pasture-raised meats, baked goods, flowers, and handmade goods, with Elon students sometimes playing music or selling alongside the farmers.
