Sponsored Business placements may rotate when multiple businesses participate.
Launch rates may change as Alamance POP grows; we'll always tell you before anything renews.
How sponsorship works
Alamance POP stays useful because it stays fair. So:
- Listings and events are always free. No one has to pay to be on Alamance POP.
- Sponsored means labeled. Every paid placement is clearly marked Sponsored wherever it appears.
- Regular results don't change. Sponsorship never moves anyone up the regular lists or search. Those stay in date or alphabetical order.
- It doesn't buy coverage. A sponsor gets the labeled spot it paid for, not recommendations, a place in anyone's guide, or favorable write-ups.
- Everything is still reviewed. A sponsored event has to meet the same standards as any other. Paying never skips review.
- Planning tools stay ad-free. Build Your Guide, the maps, the Yard Sale Map, printed guides, and Things to Do have no sponsorship.
- We can say no. Alamance POP may decline any sponsorship that isn't a good fit for the community.
